Mining Empire Layers

Layers are how Mining Empire stays interesting after the first yellow cube. The 17 April 2026 Roblox update added three more layers, three more tools, and eight more ores in the same sentence. That is a confession: each new floor is tuned to a new head. This page is the map. Ore names sit on ores. Tool keys sit on progression.

Starter cavern

Gray stone, yellow cubes, white floor veins, bronze faces, wooden or cyan T-pickaxe. This is every thumbnail. Stay here until wood starts bouncing, then leave. Farming spawn forever is how you never afford a ticket. The Mine 1 and Mine 100 badges will happen here whether you try or not.

Mid stone and Oil Rock country

Once blocks take a mean number of hits, you have entered the tax bracket that funds gems. Oil Rock lives in chunk data here or below. The April extras begin to matter. If your tool still looks like the icon mascot, go shop. Auto mine on this band is the first time the official toggle feels like a feature instead of a toy. Pair it with a clan bonus if anyone is on.

The three April layers

The patch did not name the three floors in public notes. It did say they exist. Play them as hardness gates. When a floor laughs at your current head, that is a layer boundary. Buy the matching tool from the three that shipped with them. Do not brute force with wood and a dream. Brute force is how people decide the game is empty and write a one-star rant that belongs on the wrong Roblox title.

Cosmic / galaxy floor

Official late art is not a starter biome. Galaxy cubes and a glowing cyan-grid sphere sit in black space with purple sparkles. Bring jackhammer-tier damage. This is the neighborhood for Elusivium camps. Walk it once with your eyes so you do not auto mine a decorative void. Then park.

When to go down versus sideways

Go sideways when the current floor still drops colors your tool can pop and gems are moving. Go down when the rainbow gets stingy or the stone gets rude. Sideways forever is a trench. Down without a tool is a faceplant. The how to play guide uses the same rule in tutorial language. If you are badge hunting 10,000 blocks, pick a floor that does not waste swings on unbreakable faces.

Clans should pick one layer and stack. Six players on six floors is six solos. Six players on the cosmic band with auto mine is a speedrun of the statistic you actually want. Use chat. The server is only six wide.
